To help keep the creative juices flowing, I’m assigning myself to a monthly interview project. (For more details, or to sign yourself up, visit The Fairy Blogmother).
1. What’s on your bedside table?
Chaos? I have a stack of unread books, a blood pressure monitor, a set of keys and a bottle of painkillers.
2. What is your favourite kind of cookie?
If I’m buying them: Dare-brand Bear Paws. If I am making them myself: hermit cookies.
3. How long does it take you to get ready?
The shortest amount of time it has ever taken me to jump out of bed, get dressed and go somewhere is 7 minutes. I’ve only done it once, this past Sunday morning, when I was getting a ride to church and woke up 7 minutes before my ride showed up. I don’t recommend it, mostly because it does not allow time to get a coffee beforehand. The headache from caffeine withdrawal just isn’t worth it.
On a normal day, about half an hour does the trick.
4. What would your like to be doing right now? [sic]
At this very moment; or generally speaking, as in, with my life?
I’d like to be travelling. If I were 10 years younger I’d like to re-invent myself as a photojournalist. In the immediate present, sleeping.
5. Is your kitchen sink empty?
No. And I’m too chicken to go and investigate what’s in there; I have a double sink, you see. I wish I could train the cat or the dog to wash dishes. I’d have a better shot at compliance from them.
